Satavahana University is a public university located in Karimnagar, Telangana, India. It was established in 2008 by the Government of Andhra Pradesh with the aim of providing quality education to students in various fields of study. Satavahana University courses are offered at undergraduate, postgraduate, and doctoral levels in arts, science, commerce, management, and education.
Satavahana University admissions to all UG and PG courses offered by the university are merit-based except Ph.D. courses which are entrance-based. Satavahana University admissions to candidates who pass the UGC-NET/CSIR-NET/SET (Andhra Pradesh) (Telangana) /JEST/ GATE/GPAT examinations with high marks in the relevant subject are eligible for Ph.D. programmes. Satavahana University eligibility criteria is different for each of the courses. Satavahana University placement cell offers a wide range of placement and internship opportunities to qualified and deserving candidates from its institute. Satavahana University placement cell organises and conducts a variety of workshops, Entrepreneurship Awareness Camps, Campus Recruitment Drives, and Training of Trainers in Entrepreneurship Development, among other things. Some of its students have also been placed in companies such as Eminent Technologies and Intense Technologies, among others, as well as a few other small organisations in Hyderabad.
